Cellbox Solutions GmbH receives EUR 6.5 million in a Series A1 financing round. Cellbox Solutions is a healthcare company, for research, development and shipping of live cell logistics solutions for life-sustaining therapies.
The round was led by CK Ventures, supported by Fraunhofer Ventures and several new investors such as NRW.Venture, Fil Bros as well as experienced private investors.
Proceeds from the financing round will be used to expand Cellbox Solutions into the US market and further strengthen its product portfolio with a particular focus on the cell and gene therapy market.
With the new capital, Cellbox Solutions will be able to open its new development and logistics office in Woburn, near Boston (MA), USA, as early as next month. This important step will improve the quality and speed of logistics services offered by Cellbox to customers, as well as the shipment and maintenance of products in the US market.
Prof. Dr. Hans-Eric Rasmussen-Bonne, LL.M. and Marius Tauchmann provided comprehensive contractual advice to the investor NRW.BANK. The law firm Weitnauer regularly represents NRW.BANK in financing rounds.
